MCCEM: Mulit-Compartment Concentration and Exposure Model |
Sponsor: Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT), Economics, Exposure, and Technology Division, Exposure Assessment Branch (EAB)
Description: The
Multi-Chamber Concentration and Exposure Model (MCCEM) is a user-friendly
computer program that estimates indoor concentrations for, and inhalation
exposure to, chemicals released from products or materials used in a
residence. For each model run, time-varying air concentrations and
inhalation exposure are modeled for one chemical in as many as four zones
(chambers) of a residence. One exposure event (e.g., one episode of use of a
consumer product) typically is modeled, from which single-event and lifetime
exposure/dose estimates are developed based on user inputs. |
